Olive and Laurel Oil Soap
Our traditional Syrian soap is made from olive and laurel oil, water, and sodium palmate, a natural ingredient that hardens the mixture. In Olive Oil Soap, the olive oil acts as a moisturizer whereas the laurel oil, as a cleanser. Together, they can help to calm inflammation and irritation.
Product of Syria
Syrian soap – a unique product, comes from one of the world’s oldest cities, Aleppo or Halab – For 4000 years, Syrian artisans have made soap bars of olive – and laurel oil. It is a renowned natural product and cultural pride of Aleppo.
Aleppo soap can only be made in the cooler seasons- from approx. November until March. Aleppo soap is an entirely organic product. The older it is, the better. This is why the soap has to mature at least six months before it can be sold. By means of oxidation, the soap’s colour turns from green to pale gold. On the inside, however, it remains green.
Relief for sensitive skin
The olive oil content in the soap is moisturizing and very gentle to the skin. Olive oil has antioxidants which restore the pH balance in the skin.
Answer to painful skin conditions
Laurel bay oil in the Olive Oil Soap also contains antiviral and antifungal properties. It is beneficial for skin with acne, herpes, eczema, psoriasis, bacterial dermatitis, fungal infections, dandruff, and seborrheic dermatitis.
How to use:
Syrian olive and laurel soap is ideal as an everyday soap in the shower or bath. It is especially suited for those with sensitive skin, skin issues or dry skin.
When used instead of shaving foam it facilitates the gliding of the razor and hydrates skin that has been subjected to razor burn.
